The Magnum Command Boot

by on Apr.21, 2014, under Patrol Store

Being in the police force can be a very difficult job; often faced with hostile, dangerous, and even life threatening situations, a police officer has to be incredibly quick thinking yet able to remain calm whilst on duty. For this reason it is essential that police clothing and equipment is durable and robust, but most of all, safe in any tactical situation.

Before the general standardisation of the Metropolitan police force in the nineteenth century, the uniform was more ad hoc and personal than seen today. With home-made outfits that would be accompanied by bicycles, pistols and even swords there was no unity in the force’s attire.  By 1829, however, police officers were seen to wear blue swallow tail coats decorated with white strips on the sleeves to distinguish them from naval personnel. These coats featured high collars as a sentiment to prevent garrotting (a form of capital punishment) and were paired with white trousers in the summer, accompanied with a fitted cane hat that could be used as a step if necessary. Moving on, defence equipment changed from the rattle to a whistle, swords removed and pistols were replaced by the more reliable revolver. There were many different variations of this uniform, with the tailcoat being replaced by a tunic which differed and varied in designs and lengths, and the traditional police officer helmet differing slightly in styles between forces. Clip on Ties

by on Mar.15, 2013, under Patrol Store

A clip on tie has many uses over a normal tie when it comes to doing the work that security and police officers do. The first and foremost is safety, if you get in a bit of a squeeze and a suspect tries to grab a normal tie they can choke you. With a clip on tie it will just come off and you don’t have to worry about being chocked.

Clip on tie have many uses over their rivals the normal tie. Another example why a clip on tie is much better is that it is much easier to get it on and off, that way when you’re on some downtime you can get it off and relax a lot quicker compared to wearing a regular tie.

A clip on tie looks a lot smarter than the regular tie all the time as it does not loosen like a regular tie does. A clip on tie is also a lot more comfy then a normal tie as with most normal ties they tend to be very tight around the neck wear as with a clip on tie it doesn’t go around the whole neck so you never have this worry with a clip on tie.

With A clip on tie you don’t have to know how to put a tie on either as there is no fiddling like there is with a normal tie. This is handy as injury’s can occur sometimes and if you do know how to put a tie on but you are injured or disabled you don’t have to worry, as with a clip on tie you can put it on with one hand. This also makes the tie a lot easier to manage when wearing kevlar gloves

Clip on ties are an ideal item for security or police officers to do their job safely and still look very smart. Clip on ties were designed for people that had to do these jobs but wanted to look smart and feel comfortable at the same time.

Handcuffs

by on Aug.01, 2012, under Patrol Store

The ASP Handcuffs provide a major advance in both the design and construction of handcuff restraints.

ASP Handcuff – Chain Linked – Black, Yellow, Pink

Strength potential has been maximized through the use of an interlocking, unitised frame. The ASP handcuff structure is forged from high-strength stainless. The flat bow section provides single movement application preventing slippage on the wrist, experienced with your old handcuffs. There is a keyway and double-lock channel on both sides of each ASP handcuff, so removing the handcuffs is easier and safer.

During a confrontation no handcuff goes on easier due to the swivelling ASP chain and no matter which way you put the ASP handcuffs on the double sided locks allow for easy removal. The red indicator alerts you if the handcuffs are not double locked. The rounded edges of the cuff ensure that you should get fewer complaints of the cuffs ‘cutting in’ to the suspect.

ASP Handcuff – Hinged – Steel

Asp Hinged Handcuffs incorporate a four-point stainless steel connection. The rivetless exterior design allows the cuffs to lie flat in a case or on the belt. Hinged cuffs enable the user to gain the same compliance as with a fully rigid cuff.

The cuff structure is forged from high strength stainless steel on custom built, high speed, progressive dies. Each restraint is then overmolded with ordnance grade polymer under 75 tons of pressure. The Lock Assembly is unitised and replaceable.

ASP Handcuff – Hinged – Aluminium

Asp Tactical Aluminium Hinged Handcuffs incorporate a four-point aluminium connection. The rivetless exterior design allows the cuffs to lie flat in a case or on the belt.

Hinged cuffs enable the user to gain the same compliance as with a fully rigid cuff. Aluminium greatly reduces weight and this is a major advantage to officers who are increasingly suffering back problems due to increased kit requirements.

Its aluminium material combines a forged bow with an overmolded stainless steel frame to make these cuffs strong, smooth, and lightweight. ASP handcuffs provide a major advance in both design and construction of wrist restraints. Using an interlocking, unitized frame has maximized strength potential. The handcuff structure is forged from high-strength aluminium on custom built, high-speed progressive dies. The lock assembly is unitised and replaceable.

ASP Plasticuffs

ASP Tri-Fold disposable restraints are the most tactically advanced disposable restraints available. They have extreme strength with a smooth pull.

ASP Tri-Fold disposable restraints are compact, easily carried, and rapidly applied. Specifically designed to law enforcement standards, their wide straps have no sharp edges. Their most important feature is that they fold away discreetly, unlike normal plasticuff restraints that hang in a loop from the belt.
