Fixed Penalty Notice Holders That Are Just The Ticket
by Lianeh on Nov.24, 2011, under Patrol Store
Let’s face it. No one likes to receive a Fixed Penalty Notice on their cars. And I’d personally like to think that Traffic Officers don’t like to issue them either and perhaps they really don’t take pleasure in giving them out to people who accidentally park where they shouldn’t do. But sometimes, it just has to be done I guess.
Here at Patrol Store we have a couple of variety of Fixed Penalty Notice Holders that will do the job, even when you don’t want them to.
Firstly we have the PWL Fixed Penalty Notice Holder. I have always been impressed with Price Western Leather’s quality goods. Made using the finest leather materials you can tell it has been handcrafted to perfection. They are our most popular make of Fixed Penalty Notice Holders and come with a twelve month guarantee, and I can whole heartedly put my hand up and say that I have never seen one of these returned due to wear and tear nor any other general faults in the three years I’ve been with Patrol Store. The PWL Fixed Penalty Notice Holder is double sided so you can keep two types of Fixed Penalty Notice or other forms inside. On one side there is a leather strap across the centre with a keyring and leather loop, also a pouch with popper closers. The other side of the PWL Fixed Penalty Notice Holder has four sets of tighter leather straps and a leather loop. Both sides have a sprung metal clip with a clear plastic divider to place between the document copies to stop bleed from the pages being written to the pages beneath. Closes to one third size when it is fully open.
On the other hand there is the Fixed Penalty Notice Holder – PU. Made from Polyutherane (PU) materials, the combination of Carbamates (utherane) used to make the Polymer give the Protec branded Fixed Penalty Notice Holder – PU plenty of flexibility and durability. Basically it offers the elasticity of rubber combined with the toughness and durability of metal. Urethanes have better abrasion and tear resistance than rubbers, while offering higher load bearing capacity making the Fixed Penalty Notice Holder – PU a tough cookie indeed!
It really is a personal choice when it comes to choosing a Fixed Penalty Notice Holder which only you, the buyer, can make.
Patrol Store Gets Sporty with the Adidas GSG9s
by Lianeh on Nov.15, 2011, under Patrol Store
What people have said about the Adidas GSG9s is they cannot imagine ever buying anything else. They are incredibly light weight and have been known to be love at first fit! When you try them on they feel like a pair of slippers and that comfort stays with you.
If your job often requires you to be on your feet for hours at a time and you get very hot, tired feet then these are the boots for you. The technology inside these mean when it’s cold your feet are toasty and when it’s hot your feet are nice and cool.
Many people use the Adidas GSG9 for riding their bike, because GSG’s are made of a very soft leather they are easy on foot controls, therefore this would make them perfect for driving.
The Adidas GSG9 are also fully waterproof, not that we reccommend you stood in a bucket, but they certainly wouldn’t catch you out in the rain!
They also look really cool, and not like regualr, clompy military or police boots. These are sporty in a kind of “step in the boxing ring” way. Don’t be put off by the price. Think of them as an investment. With an average feedback score of 9.5 out of 10, you can’t go wrong with a pair of Adidas GSG9. And with Christmas fast approaching, personally I would add these to my wish list.
Available in 2 sizes, the Adidas GSG9.2 which is the 8 inch version and the Adidas GSG9.4 which is the 6 inch version.
Extensive Range of Multi-Tools
by Lianeh on Nov.01, 2011, under Patrol Store
How did we ever manage before multitools were invented?
This is one useful bit of kit that is capable of handling many different applications according to your current requirements. When thinking of multi-tools our thoughts would have turned to the seemingly fantastic quality Swiss Army Knife that seems to have been around for an eternity and indeed these are still the same high quality pieces of kit that they have always been. Beware of cheap and inferior imitations though…you should look for the names Victorinox or Wenger as the quality benchmarks. At Patrolstore we stock the Victorinox knives that are fantastically manufactured and are as useful as they’ve ever been.
In recent years the multitool has taken on a new face and is most commonly of the plier type probably made famous initially by Leatherman. Again, there are many cheaper models on the market and you should only buy a brand that you can trust like Leatherman, Gerber or the all new Bear Grylls range, available from Patrolstore. Go and take a look at our diverse range of mutitools and never be caught out without something to effect a repair.
As an example, check out our best selling Multi-Tool, the reknowned Suspension Multi Tool. With more features than Batman’s Utility Belt, this tool is very versatile and includes needle-nose pliers, wire cutters, fine edge blade, serrated edge blade, saw, scissors, cross-point screwdriver, small and medium flat blade screwdrivers, a can opener, bottle opener and a lanyard hole. With all this power it only weighs around 9oz and is smaller than the average mobile phone.
The stainless steel handles of the Gerber Suspension fold back to reveal a 2 ¼ inch pair of needle-nose pliers. These are cleverly spring-loaded to open automatically. If it’s precision work you need it for then the front ¾ inch of the pliers has a sharp point. The flat surfaces and fine serrations are what you would expect from any quality set of needle-nose pliers. The spring loaded opening mechanism of the pliers makes them very easy to reposition.
The casing of the Gerber Suspension is constructed of stainless steel, helping resist corrosion, whilst the skeletonised frame should prevent moisture from being trapped within the tool.
The blades can be opened in a one-handed motion and are of a drop-point design to protect the user by minimising the damage from an unintended jab.
Overall, the Gerber Suspension is great value for what it does. It’s rugged, substantial, compact, versatile and affordable. It would also make a great gift for somebody…and Christmas is only 8 weeks away after all…
