Drifire Flame Resistant Clothing

Since the Marines banned the use of polyester or nylon based clothing while conducting operations in Iraq due to the danger of it melting and fusing to the skin when exposed to extreme heat and flames, synthetic wicking base layers have become popular in the Armed Forces. They provide comfort by transporting perspiration away from the skin to outer layers, keeping the user drier and more comfortable under most conditions.
Drifire Flame Resistant clothing has no-melt or drip characteristics, meaning it will not melt into the skin in high temperatures. Drifire provides a safe, effective performance undergarment solution for people that have the potential to be exposed to fires or flash fires. Drifire meets or exceeds the FR requirements of NFPA 1975: No Melt, No Drip -No After flame -After glow less than 1 second -Charlength less than 6” -Thermal Protective Property value greater than 6.
Drifire is available as short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts in black, olive green, desert sand as well as balaclavas; also in black, olive green and desert sand.
