by Stevet on Jan.31, 2011, under Patrol Store

Fenix produce a bright array of torches, right from the economical E01 model through to the ultimate torch in the range, the TK40 which gives a massive 630 lumens. Brighter than many car headlights, this model features several strobe functions for use in the many varied situations that you could and often do, find yourself in.
The Fenix range also features many more economical torches which are made to the same high quality standards of the more expensive models. They feature Led lighting which is fast becoming the industry standard, giving greatly improved battery life and brighter light with digitally enhanced units.
Gone are the days when a torch started out suitably bright at the beginning of a night shift and rapidly dimming by the end.
Fenix also produce a range of head mounted lamps including the extremely rugged and waterproof HP20. This lamp has a separate battery compartment that is designed to keep the weight of the batteries away from the head.
All this and the available accessories including filters and traffic cone attachments make Fenix one of the best and most versatile ranges of 21st century portable lighting. Take a look at Patrolstore.com where you will find very competitive prices for these excellent products.

Drifire Flame Resistant Clothing

by Lianeh on Jan.28, 2011, under Patrol Store

Since the Marines banned the use of polyester or nylon based clothing while conducting operations in Iraq due to the danger of it melting and fusing to the skin when exposed to extreme heat and flames, synthetic wicking base layers have become popular in the Armed Forces. They provide comfort by transporting perspiration away from the skin to outer layers, keeping the user drier and more comfortable under most conditions.

Drifire Flame Resistant clothing has no-melt or drip characteristics, meaning it will not melt into the skin in high temperatures. Drifire provides a safe, effective performance undergarment solution for people that have the potential to be exposed to fires or flash fires. Drifire meets or exceeds the FR requirements of NFPA 1975: No Melt, No Drip -No After flame -After glow less than 1 second -Charlength less than 6” -Thermal Protective Property value greater than 6.

Drifire is available as short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts in black, olive green, desert sand as well as balaclavas; also in black, olive green and desert sand.

Viper Security Jacket

by Stevet on Jan.10, 2011, under Patrol Store

The Viper Security Jacket is a great bit of kit for all those involved in contract security work, especially door supervisors.
Any company can quickly create a corporate identity for their security staff with the ability to add a logo on the Velcro front panel. This is also useful for the individual who can add his name if desired.
You will be instantly recognised as security staff with this jacket as it has panels with ’security’ written on them on the front and the back. The back one is large. These panels can then be concealed with zips when desired, which mean you can wear it home after work or off duty, when you no longer want to be perceived as being “on duty”.
The sleeves can also be unzipped to create a badged body warmer. The cold weather liner can be removed in warmer weather to provide a jacket that can be used throughout the year.
It should be noted though, that this jacket is not waterproof or slash resistant and does not have a hood attached, neither is it flameproof, however; it is a very versatile jacket as you can see from the information above.
If you’re involved in contract security work as a door supervisor or in event security, you’ll need one of these as much as your SIA license.
