The Gerber LMF II Infantry knife was designed for survival during even the worst conditions.

This 10" survival knife was engineered by former military man Jeff Freeman and was field-tested with troops, ensuring that it can stand up to rugged, rigorous use and offer high performance under a variety of emergency conditions.

The strong, serrated blade can be used in all situations. Whether you need to cut firewood, build a shelter or slice through a seat belt, the Gerber LMF II Infantry knife has you covered. It was designed to adapt to a wide variety of situations so you’ll never have to worry whether you have the right knife.

In addition to the bladed end of the knife, Gerber also gave the LMF II a unique, pointed butt cap this is made of stainless steel. This heavy end can be used to pierce glass in the event you need to egress from a helicopter or other vehicle. The butt cap features a smart design that is physically separated from the tang in order to offer shock absorption when it’s used as a hammer and also to prevent electrical shock.

The Gerber LMF II Infantry features an over-moulded handle which helps prevent hand blisters and provides a secure grip. It is also designed with lashing holes, allowing it to be converted into a spear and extending its usability.

A low-profile sheath is included and it features a built-in carbide sharpener. The stainless steel blade can withstand a ton of abuse, but if it ever gets damaged or needs sharpening you won’t be stuck out in the open with a dull knife. The sheath facilitates movement and attaches to a belt or MOLLE vest.

Back in the 80s and in such films as Rambo and Commando with muscle men Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger they showcased famous blades made by Jimmy Lile and Jack W. Crain. In that era large survival blades were quite popular and if you are a knife enthusiast then you would probably remember the Gerber blades of those days – the large BMF, the elusive Predator and the smaller LMF.

The Gerber Steadfast is a new twist on the classic knives of those days. Featuring a 6″ long fixed blade and forged in AISI 440A steel, the grip is 4.75″ long with a relatively soft feel.

Finished with a steel pommel and hand guard the pommel is fixed directly on the blade via an M5 screw; this is called Full Tang Construction. It is very robust and the pommel can be used as a hammer.

All the steel components have a non reflective matte finish and the grip is very comfortable to hold as it has two deep finger notches, is soft and textured to improve grip.

The Gerber Steadfast is sold complete with a Cordura sheath which features a MOLLE attachment system as well as a large belt loop. It also has a convenient leg strap attached to the case with a quick release buckle. The back is lined with a plastic protective layer that keeps the sheath in shape, preventing the edge from damaging it.

Handling the Gerber Steadfast is a real pleasure as the grip provides a lot of comfort thanks to its design and insulates from vibration. The balance is optimum thanks to the weight of it as the Gerber Steadfast can be used to cut small branches or for light chopping.

It’s a good camping companion and thanks to its heavy blade it can tolerate some abuse.

Part of the legendary Gerber range, the E-Z Out Rescue knife is E-Z to access, E-Z to open and E-Z to use.

These speciality knives are designed for such scenarios where you need to cut through seatbelts etc without the risk of stabbing adjacent surfaces, for example the person you are rescuing, as the blade tip is blunt.

The Gerber E-Z Out Knife comes with a removable stainless steel clip so it can be kept safely and securely in pockets until it is needed.

The blade is made from high carbon stainless steel and has a serrated edge, which cuts through items such as belts with ease. This means the blade won’t corrode or discolour.

The yellow handle is made from fibreglass reinforced thermoplastic material and has soft grip rubber inserts known as Kraton, which is engineered in for extra gripping performance. The rubber inserts are moulded into the handle, not glued, meaning this prevents them from ever coming out on their own or with normal wear and tear.

This makes it a knife handle that is much more durable than a typical brass and wood handle but is many times lighter.

The Gerber Torch Recon LED fills four distinct roles all in one compact design. An integrated lens system allows the user to instantly switch between four light colours for different tasks.

This cool little torch has one bright white LED light, which the colour can be adjusted by the rotating bezel at the front of the torch, which Gerber has given the name D.I.A.L (Diode Illumination Adjustable Lens).
