by Lianeh on Apr.17, 2009, under Patrol Store
Introducing the VieVu. A body worn video camera that is about the same size as a pager. This cool piece of kit easily clips onto your collar, lapel and duty vest or wherever you may like to wear it. It is much better than a head cam as there are no leads to get caught, tangled or grabbed.
It’s perfect for capturing daily events and protecting the wearer from liability. Also providing extra security for the wearer it can act as a deterrent for would-be bad guys. It is being used to replace police head cams in many forces due to its features.
Featuring a sliding cover to protect the lens, the VieVu is not only cradled in a rugged, rubberised holder but is also waterproof against the temperamental and unpredictable British weather.
Not having to worry about pressing any buttons, just flick the cover open and Bob’s your uncle it starts recording it also stops recording by closing the shutter..
With a recording time of four hours the audio and video quality is in SVGA format. Also being green in design it meets RoHS and WEEE standards.
Simple and easy to upload to your PC via the inclusive USB cable with a click, drag and drop motion the software is Microsoft Windows compatible.
Available in two versions – the VieVu LE and the VieVu Pro.
The LE version has a tamper proof date and time stamp that runs through the video for evidence purposes.
