Welcome to the Patrol Store Blog. I’m Andy the Patrol Store manager and I thought it would be worth starting by giving a bit of history about me and why I started the store. First though, I would like to tell you that Patrol Store supplies military clothing and equipment, police clothing, belt equipment and security clothing and equipment. I will be blogging about this in forthcoming posts.

I spent over a decade in the British Army and served in GB, Germany, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Lebanon, Albania and Afghanistan. Among the many courses you tend to get through in the Army, I passed the Royal Military Police Close Protection Course and am a holder of British military parachute wings, having passed P Company.

Since leaving the Army I’ve mainly been involved in sales, marketing and security project management. However, I also spent 18 months in Baghdad as a private security contractor, working from the US embassy.

The other two main personalities in the Patrol Store office are Geoff and Tim. They are both ex Metropolitan Police officers.

Patrol Store is operated in partnership with NSI, the company that runs MoD Oracle.com, Police Oracle.com, Police Information.co.uk, Security Oracle.com and several other police and military websites. Between them they receive millions of visitors a month.

One of the main reasons we launched Patrol Store is because we kept on getting asked to. With individuals from the security industry, police and military already using the NSI sites to keep up to date and to gain information, it made sense to also provide them with a store where they could buy all their equipment essentials.

When people are making purchases on line, they want a site they can trust, they want to shop with confidence, and they want to deal with someone who understands their requirements. It’s our collective knowledge of web publishing and our collective experience in the security industry, the police and military that mean we can provide all of these elements.
